Undoubtedly, India was one step ahead of the Aussies in the first 2 days. In 1st inning, India all out on 244/10 with the help of Virat Kohli tremendous 74 runs, and Pujara, Rehane small knocks. The openers again disappointed the fans as in ODIs, And T20. Prithvi "The flop" Shaw again dismissed on duck in the very first over of the inning, by Mitchell Starc. Yet Mayank has also gone pavilion too soon. Mitchell Starc took 4 wickets in 1st inning.
Aussies looked under pressure from starting as their openers gave early wickets to Indian bowlers. But Capt. Tim Paine half-century took Aussies to a 191/10.
At the end of Day 2, India took a lead of 53 runs and losing the early wicket of Prithvi Shaw on 9/1 of 2nd inning. Day 3 was an unlucky day for team India as got all out in just a 36/10 run and made the lowest total of team India in the test match. Aussie gets their 1st win very easily by having a good partnership between Burn and Wade. The game-changer of this match was Josh Hazelwood who took 2 wickets in the very first over of his spell. He also missed a hat-rick chance and finish his spell 5-3-9-5.

Now, Team India will play 2nd match with Australia on 26-30 Dec 2020 in Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). It is difficult to digest an unexpected defeat against Australia, but team India is facing 2 major blows firstly Team India captain Virat Kohli will miss upcoming test matches due to his baby delivery in early January, which put India a little behind in 2nd test match.
Secondly, Mohammad Shami got injured on Pat Cummins bowl while doing batting in 1st test. These two major blows will impact team India. So, in the second match team, India has to do certain changes to come back stronger. Kl Rahul is a good replacement in absence of Virat Kohli, and we can see Shubman Gill replaces Prithvi Shaw. Mohammad Siraj can replace Shami.Team India has to improve its batting performance to remain live in the series.
