On saturday and sunday matches knocked out 2 more teams out of race to playoffs.CSK was already out of race and now Kings XI Punjab(kxip) and Rajasthan Royals(RR) joined CSK on yesterday night.On sunday double doze 2 matches was played.In Afternoon Match no.53 KXIP faced its last match against Chennai Super Kings(CSK) in which CSK won by 9 wickets and made its winning hatric in last 3 matches.Kxip won the toss and opted for bat first, loosing early wicket quickly in powerplay.Kl Rahul and Chris Gayle failed to show their magic, but Deepak Hooda took punjab to a defendable total by his brilliant knock 62(30) in their last match. CSK players have done very well with both bat and bowl.CSK openers Rituraj Gaikwad and Faf Du Plesis gave solid start and took match away from punjab.
Yet again Rituraj Gaikwad made his IPL fifty 62*(49)and become 1st CSK to score three consecutive half century.
Taking about sunday 2nd match no.54 between KKR vs RR. KKR won the toss and opted for bat first and score a devastating score on the board 191 /7.
For KKR, capt. Eoin Morgan playing brilliant innings 68 runs in 35 balls.Whereas for RR Rahul Tewatia took 3 wickets in by giving 25 runs.Rajasthan Royals openers does'nt score runs which put pressure on middle order batsmen and as a result RR was all out on 131.On KKR side Pat Cummins took 4 wickets by just giving 34 runs.Hence RR and KXIP omitted from the race of playoff.

Today is Match no.55 DC VS RCB will playing on Sheik zayd stadium.Match will broadcast on 7:30 pm(IST) on star sports 1,2 and 3.Both teams are able to qualify for semifinal as both have won 7 matches and are on 2nd & 3rd position.DC lost its last four matches and struggling in batting order and bowling as well.They need to settle their batting order as Shekhar Dhawan is not scoring big runs after knocking two centuries, Shreyas Iyer is also looking out of fourm for a long time, Rishab Pant came out of injury and dont look consistent in his batting.Stonis is also not scoring runs.So, if DC want to win this to acquire 2nd position in points table.
